Over recent years Tom has advised government, NGO and private sector clients in Australia and globally, leveraging his extensive industry experience and understanding of the water sector. He led the 2015 independent review of the national Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards (WELS) Scheme and has also led or consulted on projects covering utility strategy, water quality regulation, industry and regulatory reporting, water allocation planning and standards certification schemes. He has undertaken governance and regulatory reviews for the World Bank and Danube Water Partnership and advised on water scarcity in teh Middle East.
Through his work nationally and internationally, he has built extensive networks covering utilities, contractors, equipment manufacturers and technology suppliers, researchers and academia, government agencies and regulators. With substantial utility management experience, complemented by global consulting and connections, Tom brings a strong strategic overview and creative approach to water sector issues.
